SynopsisI have made changes to one or more properties but when I click save and review those changes, they appear to not take affect.
SolutionThere are two causes for this problems. 1. If you are using .rpt Inspector™ 2 Professional Suite (for CR9.x-CR10.x) either the trial or a licensed version, and you have Crystal Reports® 9 prior to service pack 2, this is a known issue. There is a bug in one of the RDC APIs. To resolve this: * with CR9 installed, install .rpt Inspector™ 2 Professional Suite (for CR9.x-CR10.x) * download and install service pack 2 (or later) for CR9 from Business * unless you have the Developer Edition of CR9, service pack 2 (or later) will not update the necessary file which has the API we reference but you need to install service pack 2 (or later) before applying the update to the API for best stability * download and install the "Merge Modules for Crystal Reports 9 RDC Deployments" available from Business Objects 2. With the trial version of .rpt Inspector™ 2 Professional Suite we have introduced a save limit. This save limit is not per session, but rather the total number of saves during your trial. The limit is set to 10 saves total. However, due to a bug, in some cases this save limit has allowed only a few saves and in some cases no saves at all. This issue has been reported to engineering and version 2.01 (a free point update to all 2.00 licensed users) will address this issue. for issues 1 & 2 above: Version 2.01 of .rpt Inspector™ 2 Professional Suite (for CR5.x-CR8.5) and .rpt Inspector™ 2 Professional Suite (for CR9.x-CR10.x) will come with an updated version of the RDC API in which the API has been fixed. However, for stability, after installing 2.01 it is recommended that you install the lastest CR service pack.
