Does .rpt Inspector Enterprise Suite need to be installed on a BusinessObjects Enterprise server or Crystal Enterprise server

Synopsis
Does .rpt Inspector Enterprise Suite need to be installed on a BusinessObjects Enterprise server or Crystal Enterprise server?
Solution
No. While it's your choice where you decide to install (workstation or server), the most common installation is on a workstation. The same workstation where the report design is done and Crystal Reports designer is already installed. When installed on a workstation, you'll still be prompted to logon to your BusinessObjects Enterprise or Crystal Enterprise environment (using the same credentials you already use to logon to it) and you'll be able to navigate the virtual folders, and open Crystal Reports objects that reside in them. Once the Crystal Reports objects are open, .rpt Inspector Enterprise Suite automatically builds an in-memory database of all the Crystal Reports objects underlaying template (i.e. formulas, fonts, parameters, fields, sections, running totals, database, etc.) objects and properties as well as associated meta-data (i.e. instances, schedules, destinations, formats, database, etc.). But please be aware, whether you install .rpt Inspector Enterprise Suite on a workstation or on a server, you must meet the minimum requirements, including having the correct version of Crystal Reports pre-installed for the edition of .rpt Inspector Enterprise Suite you'll be installing.
